Ski day today. Was so fun to ski after yeeeears even though I fell over and was a little nervous about going down the slope. But wow what a feeling of just swooshing down the slope with the sun shining on us. My brother looked like a pro compared to me, so smooth and fearless.

Blue skies, sunshine, snow, friends, family, warm fluffy clothes, and a barbecue by the ski slope. Veeeeery almost a perfect day. Had I not fallen of the snow racer while racing dad down the hill and bruised my bum it would have been a perfect day haha.
Home time. Stressful day that was, to begin with. Woke up in literal panic for having over slept. Good morning Minnie! Never got out the door so quickly before. Hopped in an Uber to Victoria to catch the train down to Gatwick. Made it with 45 mins to spare as I'm about to check in. Told the guy at the desk I was flying to Sweden and he goes
"you're late". Ehhhh, yeah thanks, I know that... I had 45 mins to spare, I would've made it but they didn't want to let me through. At least the 12h at the airport waiting for the next flight to Gothenburg were used productively. Essay writing, editing, reading. Felt so good when I finally got to get off the plane and have my family welcome me home with hugs and smiles and puppy kisses. Lemon, raspberry, strawberry marshmallow, vanilla, coconut and salted caramel. I never had macarons from Ladurée before going to Paris because it just wouldn't feel right to buy them in London or somewhere else. I've just got to say holy macaron these tase amazing. My favourite is without a doubt the raspberry closely followed by lemon, only one I did not like was the strawberry marshmallow one.
17 euros is a lot of money for 6 tiny macarons, but look at the detailing on the little box, the service, the flavours, I totally get the the hype. |
