Home time. Stressful day that was, to begin with. Woke up in literal panic for having over slept. Good morning Minnie! Never got out the door so quickly before. Hopped in an Uber to Victoria to catch the train down to Gatwick. Made it with 45 mins to spare as I'm about to check in. Told the guy at the desk I was flying to Sweden and he goes
"you're late". Ehhhh, yeah thanks, I know that... I had 45 mins to spare, I would've made it but they didn't want to let me through. At least the 12h at the airport waiting for the next flight to Gothenburg were used productively. Essay writing, editing, reading. Felt so good when I finally got to get off the plane and have my family welcome me home with hugs and smiles and puppy kisses.

Lemon, raspberry, strawberry marshmallow, vanilla, coconut and salted caramel. I never had macarons from Ladurée before going to Paris because it just wouldn't feel right to buy them in London or somewhere else. I've just got to say holy macaron these tase amazing. My favourite is without a doubt the raspberry closely followed by lemon, only one I did not like was the strawberry marshmallow one.
17 euros is a lot of money for 6 tiny macarons, but look at the detailing on the little box, the service, the flavours, I totally get the the hype. Opened my sleepy eyes this morning to see snow falling outside. Such a peaceful and calming way to wake up on a Tuesday morning knowing that you're going to have a really long day with lectures and seminars. Cannot wait to get home from uni today to pack my bag for Paris tomorrow. Beautiful as the snow is, not very exiting when you're trying to plan what to wear. Ugg boots and a big winter coat isn't exactly what I was thinking...
Sunshine is filling my room and myself with light today. Todays plans consist of uni work, uni work and uni work, oh and some laundry too. Trying to get as much done as possible before hopping on the Eurostar to Paris on Wednesday. I'm so exited I can barely contain myself, I've never been to the (supposedly) city of love before. So if anyone has any recommendations please get in touch.
Jacket - Pello Bello // Turtle neck - Zara // Pants - Zara // Bag - Rebecca Minkoff // Boots - Russell & Bromley // Sunnies - Le Specs Sunday. It was so nice to spend time with Martha outside of uni today. Started the day at Lulu Guinness's fashion presentation in Covent Garden to see some of their beautiful new collection. The venue was so cool, decked out with glitter, disco balls, drinks, heath shaped cookies, selfie booths and goodie bags.
After the event our tummies were roaring for food so we started walking towards Chinatown. We completely forgot about it being Chinese new year and didn't really understand why there were so many people until we saw all the lanterns, dancing dragons and heard the music. We then also realised that finding a place to eat was going to be a mission. But we ended up in One+ after standing in line for while. Totally worth the wait though, food was amazing #foodbaby. Dinner and Fifty Shades Freed was planned for the commercial, ridiculously hyped but also anticipated 14th of February. But the morning after the plans were made, things took a rather unexpected turn, over a text message. Need I say more...? Last year "someone" left me the biggest bouquet of 12 red roses on my doorstep, turns out that they were from my dad, surprise surprise. I had a hunch that my parents were feeling sorry for me last year after. So this year I guess I'm going to embrace Victoria's Secret's new and in my opinion more inclusive take on Valentines day. ME day. Buy yourself some chocolates, go and get yourself some flowers, go shopping with your friends and end the day with dinner. Surround yourself with people who empower you and make you smile. Like rain, I fell for you.
February already, wow. And this month is probably going to fly by too with all the things happening. Walking in LFW, going to Paris, Valentines day, the new Fifty Shades movie (can't wait) coming out in a few days. I've also booked my flight to go to Sweden for a month in March/April which I'm really looking forward to.
Weekend ahead, lets see what I'll get up to. Thinking of having a chilled one, been out every Saturday since coming back to London. But now I'm off to work on my group project for uni this afternoon with my girls, should be fun. Have a good one x Hello 2018! This is my first real post this year, January has been HECTIC so far. Back in London now of course for uni which means, uni work. This terms we are doing a group project which I'm really enjoying so far.
I've also done a photoshoot for a startup lingerie brand, can't show any pictures yet but I will later on. Then I've been booked to walk a show for LFW!!!! Also for a small startup brand, but hey, still pretty exiting! I have a feeling this year is going to jam-frikin'-packed with exiting opportunities and and events and I'm so ready for it. 11 flights, change in diet, new experiences, personal growth, amazing people, getting rid of toxic people, one festival, seeing Coldplay, being accepted into LCF, moving to London... The highlights of this year for me was when I found out I had been accepted into
London College of Fashion, I remember how overwhelmingly happy I was, bursting out into happy tears because one of my life long dreams had come true. Going to Thailand with my brother and Jen was also an incredible experience that I will remember forever. New flavours, new destinations, new friends. Seeing Coldplay live was without a doubt one of the happiest days I've ever had, so much love and happiness. Moving to London was also a dream come true, to finally feel like I'm are in my element, in a place that inspires me and constantly helps me to grow and make friends for life, meeting a special someone who makes me ridiculously happy. This year has been so full of wonderful things and I look forward to see where the new year will take me. |
